Welcome to Tephrosia of Thailand
Tephrosia Pers. (nom. cons.) is a genus in the family Leguminosae, subfamily Papilionoideae comprising c. 350 species which is mainly distributed in tropical and subtropical regions. Eight species are recognised in Thailand. [1] [2]
This revision is based on herbarium specimens collected from Thailand and neighbouring countries as extant in the herbaria viz. ABD, BCU, BK, BKF, BM, E, K, KKU, PSU, QBG, SING and TCD, and those of the type specimens, supplemented by field study. All available recent floras, journals and other related literature have been consulted.
